Step 1: Create a Media & Input Log (3–5 Days)

For the next few days, keep a simple log of what you’re taking in. This can be written or kept in a notes app.

Track:

  • What you watch (TV, movies, videos)

  • How long you watch each day

  • How often you are on social media

  • What kind of words or messages you’re exposed to (encouraging, negative, violent, critical, uplifting)

Step 2: Notice How Your Body Responds

As you consume content, pause and ask:

  • Does my body feel tense, calm, tired, or energized afterward?

  • Do I feel anxious, peaceful, heavy, numb, or grounded?

  • Does this content help me feel safe and settled—or on edge?

Pay special attention to:

  • Violence

  • Aggressive language

  • Fear-based or comparison-driven messaging

Your body often notices what your mind hasn’t fully processed yet.

Step 3: Reflect

After practicing, please come prepared to share any thoughts or insights that you feel comfortable discussing during our next Wellness Walk Zoom call!

  • What felt difficult

  • What felt empowering

  • What you learned about yourself
