This is where we begin working together.
First, please begin by watching this short video with quick instructions before you begin each step:
Before moving forward, we want to invite you to complete the same budgeting process you practiced in Budgeting Part One. Repeating this step allows us to better understand where you previously were and helps you see how far you’ve come. This is not about starting over—it’s about reevaluating, refining, and building on what you’ve already learned.
Step 1: Provide Recent Bank Statements
Please send your recent bank statements as instructed by your Life4Real team member.
These statements are used only to help us support you more effectively. This is a judgment-free process, and your private information will be kept confidential between you and the team. By submitting your bank statements, we can help give suggestions on where you could possibly improve spending in order to create a less stressful environment for you.
Step 2: Highlight Spending Categories
Using your bank statements, highlight or mark the following categories:
Organize with Colors: Get two highlighters or colored pens—this helps make your spending visual and easier to understand. Use one color per category to highlight every transaction. Some example categories might include (this is only an example and may change depending on your life circumstances and desires):
NEEDS
Bills (Electric, Water, Rent, Car payment, Car Insurance, cell phone, etc.)
Food
Gas/Car Maintenance
Toiletries
Credit Card Payments
WANTS
Shopping
Beauty supplies/Nail salon
Streaming Services/Internet (Netflix, Hulu, Prime)
Eating out/Door Dash/Coffee
Entertainment
Step 3: Complete the Budget Form
Please complete the Life4Real budget form (JotForm) provided. This form helps us understand your income, expenses, and financial patterns.
Take your time. If you are unsure about an answer, do your best. Accuracy matters more than perfection. At Life4Real, we will never shame you for any choices you have made when it comes to your budget; we only expect you to be honest so that we can assist you in the most beneficial way possible.
Congratulations!
