This is where we begin working together.
First, please begin by watching this short video with quick instructions before you begin each step:
Step 1: Choose a Self-Care Practice
Pick one self-care activity from the examples provided below or one that feels meaningful to you. This could be physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, or creative. Take at least 10–20 minutes to fully engage in this practice.
Examples of Self-Care Practices:
Physical: Going for a walk, stretching, drinking enough water, and taking a relaxing bath.
Emotional: Journaling, talking with a trusted friend, setting healthy boundaries.
Mental: Reading, practicing mindfulness, limiting screen time.
Spiritual: Prayer, attending a church service, spending quiet time reflecting, reading scripture.
Creative/Leisure: Drawing, painting, listening to music, cooking, gardening.
Step 2: Capture Your Experience
Either take a photo of your self-care practice (if appropriate) and submit it to the Life4Real email at wellnesswalk@life4real.org. This can be a way to celebrate your commitment and keep us updated on your progress within this course.
Disclaimer: All responses are kept confidential and will be reviewed only by select internal team members who are committed to supporting your growth and success.
Step 3: Reflect on the Practice
After practicing self-care, write a few sentences about your experience:
How did it feel to intentionally care for yourself?
What thoughts or emotions came up during the activity?
Would you consider integrating this practice into your routine? Why or why not?
Once you have completed today’s reflection, please send an email to wellnesswalk@life4real.com sharing one thought or takeaway. Your email will be reviewed by a Life4Real team member as you progress through this course. This helps us ensure your participation and better understand how we can support, encourage, and walk alongside you during this journey.
Congratulations!
You’ve completed another course in the Wellness Walk Program! Thank you for your dedication to reflection and trying a new self-care practice. Taking intentional time for yourself is a critical step in sustaining wellness and resilience. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and supporting your growth in creating balance and care in your life.
