Step 1: Choose a Self-Care Practice

Pick one self-care activity from the examples provided below or one that feels meaningful to you. This could be physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, or creative. Take at least 10–20 minutes to fully engage in this practice.

Examples of Self-Care Practices:

  • Physical: Going for a walk, stretching, drinking enough water, and taking a relaxing bath.

  • Emotional: Journaling, talking with a trusted friend, setting healthy boundaries.

  • Mental: Reading, practicing mindfulness, limiting screen time.

  • Spiritual: Prayer, attending a church service, spending quiet time reflecting, reading scripture.

  • Creative/Leisure: Drawing, painting, listening to music, cooking, gardening.

Step 2: Capture Your Experience

Take a photo of your self-care practice (if appropriate) and send it to a trusted Life4Real team member or mentor. This can be a way to celebrate your commitment and keep us updated on your progress within this course.

Step 3: Reflect on the Practice

After practicing self-care, write a few sentences about your experience:

  • How did it feel to intentionally care for yourself?

  • What thoughts or emotions came up during the activity?

  • Would you consider integrating this practice into your routine? Why or why not?

Once you have completed today’s reflection, please come prepared to share any thoughts or insights that you feel comfortable discussing during our next Wellness Walk Zoom call!

Congratulations!
