The Trinity
1) What Did Jesus Come to Do?
Jesus came with purpose.
He Came to Reveal God
“Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” (John 14:9)
Jesus showed the world what God is truly like—not distant, harsh, or uncaring, but loving, compassionate, and full of grace and truth.
Reflection
Have you ever thought of God as distant or harsh? How does Jesus challenge that picture?
He Came to Save
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
Sin separates humanity from God, but Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross so that we could experience forgiveness, healing, and eternal life through Him.

What does it mean to you that Jesus came to seek and save the lost?
How does knowing that Jesus willingly gave His life for you affect the way you see His love?
Where in your life do you need His forgiveness, healing, or restoration?
He Came to Serve
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
Jesus modeled humility, compassion, and sacrificial love. He cared for the hurting, welcomed the outcast, and walked closely with broken people.

He Came to Bring New Life
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
Jesus offers more than religion—He offers transformation, hope, peace, and a restored relationship with God.

What does “life to the full” mean to you?
Where are you hoping Jesus will bring transformation in your life?
What would it look like to allow Jesus to bring more hope and peace into your everyday life?
2) Jesus and the Trinity
Jesus is fully equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Within the Trinity, He willingly submitted Himself to the Father’s will in order to accomplish salvation for humanity.
This submission was not weakness or inferiority—it was love and obedience.
Through His death and resurrection:
Jesus conquered sin
Jesus defeated death
Jesus opened the way for us to know God personally
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus is now exalted at the right hand of the Father.
He is alive, present, and still working today.
Reflection
Why is it important to understand that Jesus' submission did not mean He was less than the Father?
How does knowing that Jesus is alive and still working today change the way you think about your relationship with Him?
3) Jesus in Your Life
Jesus does not simply invite people into religion—He invites people into relationship.
He understands your struggles
He offers forgiveness and grace
He walks with you in suffering
He brings healing and restoration
He calls you to follow Him
He loves you deeply and personally
No matter your past, your failures, your doubts, or your questions, Jesus meets you with compassion and truth.

What would it look like for you to follow Jesus in your everyday life?
4) Why This Matters
Because Jesus is:
Savior → You can experience forgiveness and freedom
God → You can trust Him completely
Human → He understands your pain and struggles
Loving → You are deeply valued and pursued
Alive → You are never walking alone
Jesus did not come to condemn you—He came to rescue, restore, and bring you into a relationship with God.
His life, death, and resurrection changed everything.

God Promises Forgiveness Through Jesus

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Jesus. Thank You that He came to reveal Your heart, to seek and save the lost, to serve humanity, and to bring us new life. Thank You for His sacrifice on the cross and for the victory we have because He rose again.
Jesus, help me to know You more deeply. Help me trust You with my struggles, my failures, my questions, and my future. Teach me to follow Your example of humility, compassion, service, and love.
When I feel lost, remind me that You came to seek me. When I feel broken, remind me that You bring restoration. When I feel alone, remind me that You are present. When I struggle to trust, remind me that You are faithful.
Help me not just to learn about You, but to walk with You every day. Let my life reflect Your love and point others toward You.
